![]() Have you ever watched a child in the time of his life where he is learning how to walk, taking his first steps? A child doesnt start out running around the living room (though hell surely end up there). A child is born and spends months just learning how to operate his body. A child is not given an instruction guide or a how-to-course; he just does. And it doesnt work the first time, baby cant figure out what muscles do what: he just does. He wriggles and writhes and moves constantly, doesnt stop moving just little shocks of electricity from his tiny brain firing constantly trying to figure out the circuitry, the soul learning how to use its new computer what does this button do? What does this key do? It takes a long time for baby to figure out how to use the computer. In baby time, life is different. Imagine if you had to do a key sequence 5000 times on your computer so that you could make one aspect of it work? Wouldnt you feel frustrated? I would. And baby does too, but baby keeps going. Baby keeps trying over and over in a time frame that would take an eternity in baby world. Babys brand-new. Every second is new, every moment a magical surprises contain great and wondrous thing. So baby keeps going. Our jobs as creativity gifted people, is to start anew. We must remember as grown-ups living in grown-up time what it was like to live in baby world, the world of our childhoods. We paid attention to everything. We must do that now. And as creative people with a new knowledge, the ability to interpret this world in a fresh new way, our duty is to put that message out there. Even if it takes 5000 pushes to get the right button. Even if it seems like something new and challenging is constantly at the ready around the corner. |
