 A child’s mind is a sponge. It absorbs all of the information, all of the nerve impulses that come its way; it remembers everything. Do you think that amazing magical mind of a child’s really changed into something different when you grew up and took your place in grown-up world? No. You just learned to forget. But it’s still there. All of it. When you take in negative influences, be it songs, images, words any form of communication, you are absorbing all of it. You are becoming the world around you. If you want to change the world, want to live in a world that doesn’t have a monster around every corner, get off the planet because it’s not going to happen. Life is always going to be scary. The point is not: Never Being Afraid, the point is How Scared Do You Want to Be? Take back control. Do everything you can to take back control of your mind and the images you take in. The mind is much more powerful than any one of us will ever realize. Think about it: For as long as you’ve been around, the electrical circuitry in your computer has learned to perfect itself. As computers get constantly more advanced, so does the human mind. Only instead of being physically manipulated, the human mind is a machine that grows and changes, becoming more and more perfect when the right information is inputted. Our job is to realize the power of our gifts and wield them wisely. Our culture, our humanity, depends on it.
