 Connection makes life worth living. Our jobs as creators, we the writers, musicians, artists, dancers, creative folk of the world must be aware of the connections between our message, what we put out there, and our beliefs. We must be careful not to forge false connections, such as the ones in advertising that show us that we will never be as beautiful as the people we see, somehow forgetting what the people all around us look like. We forget that beauty, true beauty, lives within the soul. We have been taught to forget. It’s time to remember. We as creators must be careful of the messages we put out there.We must put out a message that is true, and we must take care not to alter our truths in order to make a few bucks. Look at how perverted our world has become as a result from people doing exactly that! I do not want to live in a world where violence is commonplace, seen so frequently on the screen that it ceases to become real. It becomes a deadly dream where around every corner lurks a predator. We are shown this world; this world is pushed on us so frequently that it has become the reality for many people. If we didn’t see these images, didn’t have these ideas thrust upon us, the world would not be like this. Seeing violence so frequently, reading it, hearing it makes us immune to the disease we are carrying and we spread it like viruses throughout the world. If you don’t want to live in that world, don’t continue to buy into the creation of it. Don’t allow it to happen. Remove it from your life. Veto the corporations that promote messages of violence, messages of fear, messages of hate, messages that have been altered so that someone, somewhere, could make a few bucks. Smash your television. Turn your eyes from violent images.
