All religions and forms of spiritual belief teach of a power greater than ourselves.  Some call this power God, Allah, One.  All preach in one way or another that god can speak through man. 

Some, like Christianity and Buddhism, have a historical character traditionally proclaimed as the voice of the religion.  Others, like Wiccan, divide divinity into lesser sub-gods as in the Lord and the Lady.  These lesser deities are more accessible to humans and can speak through us through visions, dreams, and trance-like states. 

In all, you must ask for your spirituality.  Christianity says you must ask Jesus Christ into your heart.  Like the deities in the Wiccan belief system, Jesus Christ is a sub-division of God’s great divinity.  In Buddhism, you meditate to connect with the higher power.  With Wiccan and similar religious offshoots, you hold a ritual to connect with spirit. 

While religion may come knocking on your door when you least expect it, it will only come inside if you invite it.
